All About Color: Impressionist Painting with Will Eskridge

Come practice color theory as you create an Impressionist-style painting with artist Will Eskridge!
All About Color - After a brief overview of basic color theories, we will paint a still life using these theories to help your paintings pop. We will be using an impressionist approach to capture the nuances of color and value and not concentrating on realistic form. The main subject will be a fun and customized still life for all to interpret with my direction on color. Class is limited to 8 students.
All Supplies are included and will be provided for you!
- An 8x10 inch Stretched Canvas
- Small + Medium Paintbrushes
- Acrylic Paints: Titanium White, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Cadmium Red, Cobalt Blue, Alizarin Crimson, Pthalo Blue
Originally from Kings Mountain, North Carolina, Will Eskridge attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, School of Visual Arts/Savannah and earned his B.F.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts from San Francisco Art Institute in 1999. With a father as a veterinarian and an artist mother, his affinity for animals and art began when he was in pre-school. Eskridge explores many mediums including film and mixed media, but his true love is painting. Eskridge works as a full-time artist and resides in Athens, GA with his wife, their many dogs and cats and has an ongoing restoration of his beloved 1953 Buick.
