Summer 2024 Art Camps
For ages 10-12 and 13-17, we call our summer camps "Art Camps for Promising Young Artists" because we love to support the creative development of students who have a keen interest in visual arts. Whether your child is passionate about a particular medium or interested in learning all kinds of art-making methods, we will encourage their growth as a creative, young person.
All of our camps take place in-person, Monday through Friday, for four hours each day. We offer two camps per day: an AM Camp and a PM Camp. Full Day campers get a discount and are welcome to stay through the break.
Designed for working parents who want to drop-off their students before work and pick-up them up afterwards, our Full Day camps are especially unique. With the wide range of activities and multiple classrooms, our 8:30-5:30 camps are never boring!
Shop owner Kristen Ashley directs each camp with the help of the Artist Shop team. Our lessons and activities will be led by an impressive roster of local artists with various specialties. Every camper will get lessons in drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, calligraphy, color theory, character design, and visual storytelling.
What sets us apart? Our downtown shop is bright and inspiring, footsteps from the spacious North Campus lawn where we take our lunch. Our teachers are full of ideas and positivity, and they're ready to encourage students of all levels. We have access to a bounty of art supplies in the shop, and we strike a balance between having loads of fun and developing our creative skills.
