About the Artist

Holly Hutchinson

Holly Hutchinson es una artista autodidacta que vive en Atenas, Georgia. Comenzó a dibujar cuando era niña, pero lo dejó en 2014 cuando comenzó la universidad en la Universidad de Georgia. No fue hasta 2021, cuando Holly comenzó a trabajar en KA Artist Shop, que redescubrió su pasión por el arte. Desde entonces, ha expuesto parte de su trabajo en la 47a Exposición con Jurado en el Lyndon House Arts Center en Atenas, así como en la Exposición Southworks 2023 y la Exposición Mito, Magia y Misterio en el Centro de la Fundación de Artes Culturales Oconee en Watkinsville.

Inspirándose en varios tatuadores, el trabajo de Holly enfatiza los detalles finos y las líneas precisas utilizando pluma y tinta. Se centra en temas con formas orgánicas como plantas, animales y personas. Su característico estilo de sombreado se puede encontrar en la mayor parte de su trabajo.

Holly Hutchinson is a self-taught artist living in Athens, Georgia. She started drawing as a child but stopped in 2014 when she began college at the University of Georgia. It wasn’t until 2021 when Holly began working at the K. A. Artist Shop that she rediscovered her passion for art. Since then, she has exhibited some of her work in the 47th Juried Exhibition at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens, as well as the 2023 Southworks Exhibition and the Myth, Magic, and Mystery Exhibition at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation Center in Watkinsville.

Drawing inspiration from various tattoo artists, Holly’s work emphasizes fine details and precise linework using pen and ink. She focuses on subjects with organic shapes like plants, animals, and people. Her signature hatching shading style can be found in most of her work.
