About the Artist

Jeremy Long

My name is Jeremy Long and I was the primary cartoonist for The Flickskinny. The Flickskinny started as a movie review zine sold for a quarter at the video store I worked at in Athens Georgia. Picked up by Flagpole Magazine in 2000, the comic ran weekly until 2020. Alas The Flickskinnys' comic/film review format left much to be desired artistically as the review section tended to leave little room for the art itself. After retiring the comic, I decided to go into my extensive archives and paint some of my favorite panels, focusing on the art portion this time around rather than the film review. I don’t claim to be much of an artist but the paintings are colorful & fun and I enjoyed the challenge.

Artist Compensation

When you purchase an archival art print from us, you're supporting both the artist and our small business. We take care of the printing labor, material costs, customer service, processing fees, and logistics, allowing the artist to focus on their work. And we send 50% of the total revenue to the artist, which is much higher than the 10%-30% average of big-box printing services.

In-Store Pickup

For our local collectors, we welcome you to pick up your prints in-store or curbside. Our address is 127 N Jackson St. in downtown Athens, Georgia. We are open from 12-6pm most every day, but you can check our Shop Closings page to make sure we're open. If you'd like to stay in your car, or if you can't make it up our stairs, please text us at 706-850-1224 with your name and order number; we're happy to run your order down to you!

Local Delivery

If your address is within a 5-mile radius of the shop, you'll see an option for local delivery at checkout. Choose this option, and we'll personally deliver your prints to your door! Please allow for the standard three-business-day turnaround time. When our shop is closed for a holiday, all orders are held until we reopen.

Shipping

We ship to any address in the United States. Please verify your address is correct when you check out. And don't fret; we take great care to make sure that your work of art is packaged well for safe shipping. Delivery times vary by location but are typically within 2-5 business days after printing is complete (meaning you'll typically receive your shipment within 5-8 business days after placing your order). When our shop is closed for a holiday, all orders are held until we reopen.
