Athens Banner Project: Archival Print of "Support Athens Service Workers" by Klée Schell
Inspired by public poster art of the Works Progress Administration in the mid-20th century, the ATHENS BANNER PROJECT is a collaboration between the Athens Area Arts Council and the Athens Downtown Development Authority to promote messages of resiliency, unity and support for our local culture and community.
Works by Marvella Castaneda, Jess Dunlap, Maximos Salzman, Elinor Saragoussi, and Klée Schell were selected, and 130 banners were printed (26 copies per artist) on 30” x 24” vinyl and given to each of the 130 storefronts in downtown Athens, GA for display during the summer of 2020.
The K. A. Artist Shop is proud to collaborate by reproducing these posters as archival keepsakes. Each print is made in Athens using lightfast inks on 100% cotton paper. Each work of art is available in two framable sizes, and the profit goes to the artist.
