The traditional wedge design is German-made in light-weight magnesium. The double-hole wedge is ideal for all pencils in the artist’s sketch box including large diameter art pencils.
The small hole is best for standard-sized blacklead pencils up to 8.2 mm and creates a sharpening angle of 23° for clear and accurate lines. The larger hole is best for thick blacklead and colored pencils up to 10.2 mm and creates a sharpening angle of 30° for broad, soft lines.
