About the Artist

Holly Hutchinson

Holly Hutchinson est une artiste autodidacte vivant à Athènes, en Géorgie. Elle a commencé à dessiner lorsqu'elle était enfant, mais a arrêté en 2014 lorsqu'elle a commencé ses études universitaires à l'Université de Géorgie. Ce n'est qu'en 2021, lorsque Holly a commencé à travailler au KA Artist Shop, qu'elle a redécouvert sa passion pour l'art. Depuis lors, elle a exposé certaines de ses œuvres lors de la 47e exposition avec jury au Lyndon House Arts Center à Athènes, ainsi que dans l'exposition Southworks 2023 et l'exposition Myth, Magic and Mystery au Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation Center à Watkinsville.

S'inspirant de divers tatoueurs, le travail de Holly met l'accent sur les détails fins et les traits précis à l'aide d'un stylo et d'une encre. Elle se concentre sur des sujets aux formes organiques comme les plantes, les animaux et les personnes. Son style d'ombrage de hachures caractéristique se retrouve dans la plupart de son travail.

Holly Hutchinson is a self-taught artist living in Athens, Georgia. She started drawing as a child but stopped in 2014 when she began college at the University of Georgia. It wasn’t until 2021 when Holly began working at the K. A. Artist Shop that she rediscovered her passion for art. Since then, she has exhibited some of her work in the 47th Juried Exhibition at the Lyndon House Arts Center in Athens, as well as the 2023 Southworks Exhibition and the Myth, Magic, and Mystery Exhibition at the Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation Center in Watkinsville.

Drawing inspiration from various tattoo artists, Holly’s work emphasizes fine details and precise linework using pen and ink. She focuses on subjects with organic shapes like plants, animals, and people. Her signature hatching shading style can be found in most of her work.
